Room Hire Fees: The Real Cost Of A Venue

Just what is the real cost of a venue? You get an idea for a party or private event, you find an impressive venue with a great atmosphere and then you get a surprise when the, often hefty, room or venue hire fees are presented to you. If you’ve been there before then you’ll know that the real cost of a venue can be the ‘make or break’ of your event.

Our events manager, Lydia, tells us that she is frequently asked if we are charging room hire fees by nervous looking customers. Luckily for them we can put them at ease quickly and get on with the real reason they’re in contact – planning their event. By listening to our customers, we decided not to charge for room hire at all. Of course, we do need to have a minimum spend amount for private parties but if you’re clever you’ll soon see that this is often no more than you would be spending anyway and can work out to be as little as £7.50 a head. This is simply in place for our own protection and not to overcharge our customers. If you want to know more then you can read about our Free Room Hire here.

So our advice is to always look around and as well as finding the venue that is right for you, look for details about their venue or room hire fees which might not always be obvious at first. If you’re not paying room hire fees and understanding the real cost of a venue from the outset, then you might just find that your pockets are somewhat lighter and everything is a little easier.

Top Tip: Find out if your venue offers an event manager or coordinator to really take the stress away. Let them organise all the detail so that you don’t have to. They should be able to offer ideas to personalise your event as well as a few other tips to keep your costs from spiralling. Our customers tell us that Lydia’s organising skills make the planning of their events a breeze!
