One table. Five courses. Five exceptional wines. One unforgettable celebration of the season’s finest ingredients.
~
Join us this August as No.4 Clifton Village welcomes the height of late summer with an intimate communal dining experience designed for people who love great food and even better wine. As the evenings begin to soften and the very best British produce reaches its peak, our chefs have created a five-course tasting menu that captures everything we love about this fleeting time of year – sun-ripened tomatoes, sweetcorn picked at its sweetest, fragrant herbs, delicate pollock and the last of the summer berries.
Served banquet-style around one long table, Late Summer Feast is all about slowing down, sharing stories with fellow diners and experiencing every course as it was intended.
MEET THE CHEF
Head Chef Sam Ashmole has transformed the restaurant at No.4 Clifton Village since joining us only two years ago. Specialising in elevated comfort food, Sam is particularly adept at taking British staples and tranforming them into modern classics, such as her take on a Ham, Egg & Chips – pulled ham hock on a nest of potato rosti and pineapple gel, crowned with a herb-crusted egg yolk croquette.
A true Bristol local, Head Chef Sam trained at the City of Bristol College and has since worked as a chef in the city for over 12 years, honing her craft and developing her signature style. Sam sees Tasting Menus at No.4 Clifton Village as a chance to experiment and be creative, pushing boundaries to create special and memorable experiences for guests.

LATE SUMMER FEAST
tasting menu in bristol
Your evening begins with a chilled pea and herb velouté before moving through vibrant tomatoes with whipped curd, a choice of delicate poached pollock or seasonal courgette, and roasted chicken supreme or barley risotto, finishing with a beautifully nostalgic summer berry Eton Mess. Every course is paired with a premium European wine, carefully chosen to complement the flavours on the plate.
While the food is exceptional on its own, this evening has been built around the wine.
Our favourite wine expert will guide you through each course, introducing five carefully chosen European wines that have been selected to elevate every dish. Expect fascinating stories behind the bottles, why each pairing works, and those magical moments where great food and great wine become something even greater.
This isn’t simply wine on the side – it’s an essential part of the evening, transforming each course into a complete tasting experience.
